Plans and billing

This page explains what By Dawn charges for today and how your organization’s plan decides which features it has. By the end you’ll know which features check the plan, and what you see when one isn’t included.

Nothing yet. Settings, then Organization, then Billing, which owners and admins can open, says “Nothing to bill yet” and why: “SAW runs on your own machines and your own model subscriptions. Billing arrives with cloud workspaces.” Your agents run on machines you provide, and use your own model subscriptions, so there’s no usage for By Dawn to charge for. There’s no payment method to add, and no invoices.

Every organization still has a plan, and the plan decides which of By Dawn’s features the organization can use and how far. The app doesn’t show your plan’s name, but each feature that depends on it tells you when it isn’t included.

Feature What you see without it
Single sign-on Single sign-on is not on your plan. Verifying a domain works on every plan.
SCIM provisioning and group mappings SCIM provisioning is not on your plan
Require a passkey “Requiring a passkey for every member isn’t on your plan. Members can still add passkeys themselves.”
Insights’ Agents, People and Cost views Analytics dashboards are not on your plan. Overview and Flow are on every plan.
Docs, the in-app wiki Docs is not on your plan
Customers Customers is not on your plan when an admin tries to turn it on in Settings › Organization › Customers
Test management: test cases, manual runs, sessions and test plans The Tests page’s Cases, Suites, Runs, Sessions and Plans tabs, and a release’s or cycle’s Tests tab, say Test management is not on your plan, and tickets show no cases. Runs and Sessions need test results too
Test results The ticket’s Tests section and the pull request’s Tests tab don’t appear, and results your CI sends are refused (entitlement_required)
Session transcripts Keep transcripts for stops at the number of days your plan allows.
Members Invitations and sign-ins are refused once you reach your member limit: “This organization is at its member limit.”

These cards say “An org admin can upgrade in Organization settings → Billing”, but Billing has no way to change plan yet. Until it does, contact support to change your organization’s plan.

Losing a feature doesn’t delete what you set up with it:

  • Single sign-on and SCIM. Connections and tokens stay listed, and you can still disable or delete them, or revoke tokens. Your identity provider’s SCIM calls are refused until the feature is back, and then the same token works again.
  • Require a passkey. It stops being enforced, and you can turn it off.
  • Docs. Pages become read-only: “You can still read and export every page.”
  • Customers. Nothing changes while it’s on: your customers and their requests stay, and people keep using them. Once an admin turns Customers off, it can’t be turned back on until the plan includes it again.
  • Session transcripts. Older transcripts are deleted down to the new plan’s limit.
Which plan is my organization on?

The app doesn’t show it yet. The cards above tell you when a feature isn’t included, and support can tell you your plan.

Who can see Billing?

Organization owners and admins. Members don’t see the section.
